- Gratitude Watch is an eye on the internet for news, articles, videos, and other items, all focusing on the subject of gratitude. For more on my intent on these postings, see About Gratitude Watch.
- So … let’s rock!
• Something Visual •
From YouTube, user voxfeminista gives us “the source” — an impassioned free-verse piece reminiscent of beat poetry set to nature eye candy and an inobtrusive instrumental background, all about remembering to thank the real source, and to (forgive me) “get back to where you once belonged.”
•
Jo Englesson, member of my “League of Gratitude,” founder of TOFA (“Token OF Appreciation”) — and Twitter user @JoEnglesson — gives us “Giving Year Day 54 – Being in Service Day 7,” continuing to honor those who dedicate their lives to service. Today Jo recognizes Bill Harris for creating his Holosync meditation method, which has been of tremendous help to Jo personally.
• (The Rest of) the “League of Gratitude” •
Brenda Arnall at It’s a New Day gives us “Long May This Blessing Wave,” some reflection of gratitude for her country and mine, America. Brenda also shares the latest installment of her 52 Blessings gratitude journal craft project.
Also, fellow Americans out there might appreciate “I Get A Bang Out Of ‘Shooting’ Fireworks” where Brenda’s husband gives us some gorgeous fireworks photos. Thank you, sir.
• This is The New Stuff •
At Owning Pink’s Pink Posse page on Ning, Alice Langholt (Twitter user @ReikiAwakening) gives us “The Ideal World in My Pink Dream,” a world that includes appreciation freely expressed and gratitude openly recognized.
(I now see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it is pink.)
•
Dr. Kristin Heslop (Twitter user @KristinHeslop) at Fall in Love with Your Body! gives us “Gratitude for Cellulite,” a unique viewpoint on what usually considered an area of annoyance or embarrassment.
•
From the Beyond Blue blog at Beliefnet, Therese J. Borchard give us “5 Ways to Practice Gratitude: An Interview with Sonja Lyubomirsky.” In the interview, Dr. Lyubomirsky gives us the five ways to practice, and a suggestion on how to cope with stress and hardships.
•
At Unambiguously Ambidextrous, Raphael Alexander gives us “Helping The Children Of Canada’s Fallen Soldiers,” a report on “Project Hero,” a way the government of our neighbor to the north is expressing gratitude to the defenders of their nation.
•
At Bheema Shakthi, Bheema gives us “The Secret of the Thankful Heart,” where he hearkens us back to the wisdom of Cicero in a well-directed look at the power of gratitude.
•
Angie at Barnes Family Blog gives us “Missing Child, New Found Gratitude,” a sharing of a moment every parent dreads, and the gratitude recognized in the happy aftermath.
•
At The Buddhist Channel: “Buddhist organizing a function as a tribute of gratitude in honor of 50 years of Dalai Lama in India on July 6.”
•
Stay tuned for the next Gratitude Watch.
