    Start:Welcome to Gratitude Watch.
Gratitude Watch is an eye on the internet for news, articles, videos, and other items, all focusing on the subject of gratitude. For more on my intent on these postings, see About Gratitude Watch.
    So … let’s rock!

•  Something Visual  •

From YouTube user manifestingyourlife gives us some worthwhile reflections and some gratitude eye candy in “Top 10 Ways To Show Your Gratitude and Appreciation.”

Ron Gentile, Ph. D. at The Four Factors (Youtube User TheFourFactors, and Twitter user @rongentile) gives “Gratitude – Episode #50,” some tips on how expressing gratitude can help that primary relationship.

Jo Englesson, member of my “League of Gratitude,” founder of TOFA (“Token OF Appreciation”) — and Twitter user @JoEnglesson — gives us “Giving Year Day 51 – Being in Service Day 4″ Expressing appreciation to nurses in general and one nurse in particular.

•  (The Rest of) the “League of Gratitude”  •

As mentioned above, I have a category of folks I call The “League of Gratitude,” people that have been frequent contributors to Gratitude Watch.

Yet another threefer from the prolific Maya, of The Gratitude Journal.

First “I Am Thankful for Little Things that Make Me Laugh,” in which she relates how a dog that looks a little like a mop finds a companion that … well, I won’t spoil it. Second, “I Am Thankful for Billy Elliott” in which a headstrong old stodge of a neighbor gets his consciousness raised a few inches … we hope. Last, a touching nod to Father’s Day with some words for her long departed dad in “I Am Thankful for My Father.”

•  This is The New Stuff  •

At Navis Technologies: “Surprising Your Vacation Rental Guests Can Have Surprising Results,” an innovative marketing idea based on gratitude. (Who’d a thunk it?)

At Front Porch Republic, Jeffrey Polet gives us a thoughtful essay on the paucity of gratitude in our land of plenty (I’m talkin’ Amurrica here), “Teenagers, Gratitude, and a Culture of Affluence.” (This is a followup to Mark T. Mitchell’s article “Cultivating Gratitude,” which I featured in the June 16th edition of Gratitude Watch.)

For you iPhone and iPod Touch users, a new gratitude journal application from Energize Software: “Gratitude Rock – Journal / Diary of Positive Thoughts.” With a hoard of features and that premium price of 99 U.S. Pennies, how can it miss?

John Duffy (Twitter user @duffsqfilm) at The Glass is 3/4’s Full gives us his “Success Tip # 7 – Gratitude, Gratitude, Gratitude and then some more Gratitude,” sharing the poignant moment when he “got” what gratitude was all about.

Wendy Franklin Muhammad at The Authentic You Online (Twitter user @TheAuthenticYou) gives us “How To Trust Yourself,” explaining the importance of trust, and naming four tools we can use to help us … number three being gratitude.

At Self-Help – You Can Help Yourselves, “Give A Gift Of Thanks,” a novel suggestion for a Thanksgiving gift, made with plenty of time to prepare it.

Stay tuned for the next Gratitude Watch.
