- Gratitude Watch is an eye on the internet for news, articles, videos, and other items, all focusing on the subject of gratitude. For more on my intent on these postings, see About Gratitude Watch.
- Just a note — for the first time I actually found a Gratitude Watch during a search engine search for “gratitude.” (No, I won’t start linking to those here.)
- So … let’s rock!
• Something Visual •
At YouTube, Pastor Lucy Baker (Twitter user @PastorLucy) uses the country as a setting for her discussion of gratitude, “Refuse to do struggle,” of gratitude being instrumental in making your life a “conspiracy of miracles.”
•
Also at YouTube: user JimDCPP (also known as Jim Bouchard, also known as Twitter user @JimBouchardDCPP) gives us “PowerSHOT: Gratitude,” where he talks about gratitude as a practical technique for taking inventory of personal resources.
•
YouTube user Annasamovar, Bo Sanchez, the “Preacher in Blue Jeans,” (Twitter user @BoSanchez) continues with his message of gratitude with: “Sacred gratitude makes one an inverse paranoid,” which, at very least, is an interesting concept, and at most a hopeful way to live.
• From The “League of Gratitude” •
- As mentioned previously, I’ve added a category of links I call The “League of Gratitude,” folks that have been frequent contributors to Gratitude Watch.
Katie at Katie Krueger’s Snippets of Gratitude (Twitter user @KatieKrueger) announces the publication of her latest book (there were previous ones?): Give With Gratitude: Lessons Learned Listening to West Africa. She’s also set up a website for it specifically.
• This is The New Stuff •
The About.com guide to Stress Management, Elizabeth Scott, M.S., gives us a threefer. First, a quick reflection on being grateful because things could be an awful lot worse in “Got Gratitude?” She then points us to an earlier, helpful post on on gratitude journaling: “How To Gratitude Journal – How to Maintain a Gratitude Journal for Stress Relief,” and at another piece on getting and keeping your gratitude mojo going: “Cultivating Gratitude – The Benefits of Gratitude for Stress Relief.”
•
Olivia at Beauty and Madness gives us “Gratitude,” what at first seems like a shared introspective journal entry that ends with a surprisingly powerful impact.
•
Though not strictly gratitude, I’m sure a lot of folks are grateful for the actions if off-duty Hastings police officer Mike O’Leary late last week: “‘I’m not going to leave this kid,’ says rescuer,” courtesy of Yahoo New Zealand. Thanks to Charles Henry at Covenant Zone for the tip.
•
Nacie Carson at The Life Uncommon continuues her series on her seven “life principles” with “The Sixth Principle: Gratitude,” an excellent summation of what gratitude has to offer us.
•
Bharat Bhasha gives us Victor Brett’s article, “Live with Gratitude,” a number of good suggestions on how to do just that.
•
Health, Love and Care gives us “Gratitude and Appreciation – What’s the Difference?” — a straight-forward take on the differences between the two.
•
Lori Saitz (“Zen Rabbit”) at Rabbit Rouser Online gives us an interesting confessional: “Can’t believe I’m writing this,” in which she shares that a gratitude-based business needs to be run by a gratitude-based … owner?
(Brave, Ms. Rabbit. Brave.)
• Oldy but Goody •
“The Secret of Gratitude and Forgiveness,” an article by Greg Hand published in multiple article sites (here at EntireArticle.com) that makes clear the linkage between the two.
•
Stay tuned for the next Gratitude Watch.
