- Gratitude Watch is an eye on the internet for news, articles, videos, and other items, all focusing on the subject of gratitude. For more on my intent on these postings, see About Gratitude Watch.
- So … let’s rock!
• Something Visual •
From Truveo, the Asian News International report on the Dalai Lama’s year long “Thanks to India” for their help: “Dalai Lama lauds Indias support to Tibetan Cause.”
• From The “League of Gratitude” •
As mentioned previously, I’ve added a category of links I call The “League of Gratitude,” folks that have been frequent contributors to Gratitude Watch.
Brenda Arnall at It’s a New Day gives us “The Blessing Of A True Friend,” the recognition of those who will be there for you when the going gets tough. Brenda also shares the latest installment of her 52 Blessings gratitude journal craft project.
• This is The New Stuff •
Lyman Reed (Twitter user @lymanreed) at Creating a Better Life gives us “Shoe Gratitude,” and shares the moment of recognition of one of the many modern miracles that improve our quality of life surrounding us.
(Though his passing comment about trading sex for shoes did surprise me …)
•
The Comeback Girl (Twitter user … not surprisingly … @thecomebackgirl) gives us “Gratitude: A Spiritual Law,” which opens with a Sarah Ban Breathnach quote and follows this with a chiding for her family and friends and their “pity parties.”
•
Ellen Brown at Wellness Journeys gives us “To Lessen Stress, Infuse Your Life with Gratitude,” and gives us a five point list of actions that can help us do this.
•
Pastor Virgil at Out of the Abundance of the Heart gives us “Gratitude Cures Whining,” framing his message with a personal story that many of us can relate to.
•
West Seattle Blog gives us Scott Redfern, the West Seattle kayaker who was rescued after being thrown from his kayak in uncooperative waters, tells us about it, first person: “Rescued West Seattle kayaker shares his story – and gratitude.”
•
Well — here’s a timely one … Charis at A Wife’s Submission, gives us “Income Tax (having an attitude of gratitude).” offering us a good cartoon and some Biblical wisdom worth considering.
•
Dr. Robyn Silverman at The Powerful Parent Blog gives us “Got Gratitude? Use Your Own Personal Appreciation Widget,” she makes the case for using external, physical reminders to bring us back to gratitude.
•
Soni Pitts at Trafficero gives us “The Gratitude Toll,” explaining the fee that opens the gate between what we have and what we want.
•
Stay tuned for the next Gratitude Watch.
