Welcome to Gratitude Watch.
Gratitude Watch is an eye on the internet for news, articles, videos, and other items, all focusing on the subject of gratitude. For more on my intent on these postings, see About Gratitude Watch.
So … let’s rock!
• Something Visual •
Let’s kick off with some out on the edge New Age Law of Attraction “dish.” Shall we?
No?
Well, you can skip it if you want.
I’ve been exposed to The Secret, of course, but was not aware this had happened.
Esther Hicks, channeling the entity(-ies) Abraham, dishes some … gratitude for its/their teachings being part of — and for having been removed from — Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret, in “Abraham: The Secret Behind “The Secret”-Esther & Jerry Hicks.”
More on Abraham can be found here.
• From The “League of Gratitude” •
As mentioned previously, I’ve added a new category of links I call The “League of Gratitude,” folks that have been frequent contributors to Gratitude Watch.
Brenda Arnall at It’s a New Day offers “One Person’s Chore Is Another’s Blessing,” expressing gratitude for … spring cleaning. (Well, it can give perspective.) The post include her latest page of her 52 Blessings gratitude journal craft project.
•
Dragos Roua at eDragonu – the choice of a personal path (Twitter user @eDragonu) shares with us “77 Reasons To Love Your Life,” — which is really an excellent gratitude list all of us can use.
•
Edward Mills at Evolving Times (Twitter user @edwardmills) has a great hoard of gratitude material, and gives us from 2007: “Catch It, Zap It, and Turn It Around,” a call to remembering gratitude when we might not otherwise.
•
Julie Obermiller at Sunny Side Up gives us “Don’t say Thank You,” a little reminder that a thank you without sincerity might be better left unsaid.
•
Valerie Saurer at The Attitude of Gratitude Project (Twitter user @valerie_saurer) give us “Enthusiasm: Gratitude at Work,” discussing the relationship between the two attitudes, and asking the question if we’re a raspberry, a blueberry, or a crabapple.
• This is The New Stuff •
Larry Ketchersid, novelist, premier book reviewer, martial artist (read: “Danger Man”) and blogger of Dusk Before the Dawn (and Twitter user @lketchersid) gives us “1993 Silver Oak and a Special Occasion,” an appreciation of a night taken for a special wine, for film, for Mrs. K., and an acknowledgement that even speculative fiction writers understand gratitude. Cheers, Larry.
•
A precautionary note to the non-profits in our world: Paula Wasley at The Chronicle of Philanthropy gives us “Charities Flunk the Gratitude Test.” (Hey, when we give you some money, would it kill you to say “thank you” once in a while?)
•
Tara Laskowski at The Mason Gazette showcases recent research by Todd Kashdan, an associate professor of Psychology at George Mason University: “New Research Suggests Key to Happiness Is Gratitude; Men May Be Locked Out.”
(Uh oh …)
(Hmmm …)
(Naw.)
• Oldies but Goodies •
At Ebiz Newsblog, another discovered article by Deanna Collins (Twitter user @gratitudecircle — Deanna, your stuff is all over the place!) “Gratitude Abundance: Why & How to Get It,” pointing out the primary ingredient for developing graciousness is a full measure of gratitude.
•
Stephen Martile at his Personal Development Made Simple give us “10 Tips To Get Into The Groove Of Gratitude,” a handful of helpful hints to jump start us when we’re stuck with a dead gratitude battery. (Thanks to Edward Mills for the tip.)
•
Stay tuned for the next Gratitude Watch.

Thnks for the mention, Daniel, I appreciate it
. I was also not aware about the two versions of The Secret, thanks
So I take it yard work isn’t high on your gratitude list? LOL. By August I may agree with you. Thanks for the mention anyway. I enjoyed the list from eDragonu…lots there to engender feeling of gratitude and Stephen Martile’s list was also enjoyable. I always look forward to your posts as you find such great information.
Brenda –
Yeah, you have my number. I would have to work at being grateful for yard work. (It was actually an attempt at a gag that obviously fell short.)
Thanks for the visit, and thank you for continuing your project on gratitude.
